The veteran optometrist and solar power field energy consultant provided answers to some penetrating questions posed by a reputable internet-based journalist.

LAKE ORION, MI / June 19, 2021 / It is with much enthusiasm that Robert Deck, veteran optometrist and solar power field energy consultant, announces that he is the featured guest of a new professional profile. The profile, which was conducted by a noted online periodical that concentrates on matters relating to health and wellness, was published on June 16, 2021.

At the outset of the profile, Robert describes what he loves most about solar energy and optometry, the two industries between which he currently divides his time and energy. ‘What I love about the industries I’m in is that both of them are very dynamic. Both eye care and solar power make use of technologies that are changing rapidly. That part is very exciting to me,’ he says, elaborating, ‘I’m definitely an extrovert, so I also really like that I have the opportunity to interact a lot with people throughout the course of both positions.’

Later on in the interview, upon being asked what advice he might offer to young people aspiring to have a career similar to his own, Robert Deck concentrates his answer on any would-be optometrists, explaining, ‘My biggest concern when students tell me they’re considering enrolling in optometry school is the debt load they’ll inevitably incur. It is so high. My recommendation is to take on as little debt as possible. You can help defray costs by attending a junior college and knock out as many undergraduate requirements before going to a major university. Also, perhaps consider going to a public school rather than a private school because the debt load for any student is just getting out of control.’
